A Brief History

Hetronic started in 1982 as Heckl Electronics and the same year, produced its first radio remote, the GR. 1986 through 1989 was an eventful time as Heckl Electronic became Hetronic Steuersysteme GmbH. Throughout the 80's the company grew by introducing the GL transmitter, introducing SMD technology and receiving the TÜV approval for highest safety.

In the decade following, Hetronic Steuersysteme released the TG, HH, Ergo, Nova and GL-3 transmitters and introduced standard systems for tower cranes. 1993 marked other significant milestones as Hetronic Steuersysteme became ISO 9001 certified and produced its 25,000th radio remote control and by the end of the decade, Hetronic's production capacity would exceed 20,000 systems per year. Also in 1993, Hetronic USA incorporated in Oklahoma City, USA, the eventual home of Hetronic International. Hetronic was expanding into International territories and would incorporate with Mosta, Malta, Quito, Ecuador, Brisbane, Japan and Australia by the end of 1999. Evolving markets would push Hetronic Steuersysteme to develop an explosion proof line of radio remote controls and receive its PTB approval for producing explosion proof RRC's. Many new opportunities arose in the 90's and with customers like NASA and Boeing contracting with Hetronic, the company continued to develop and thrive.

The year 2000 and the following 11 years would prove to be some of the most significant for Hetronic. Hetronic International incorporated in Oklahoma City in 2000, where it currently resides alongside Hetronic USA. Hetronic expanded into the South American and European markets as well as incorporated with both Hetronic Canada, Hetronic Asia by 2002. New projects were taking off and Hetronic continued to develop its transmitter family, releasing the NOVA group, Pocket MFS system and MFSHL series.
